Tara
She watched the two golems talk in silence. Maybe they communicated on a higher frequency than organics could hear? Or maybe they used magic to speak? She sat down and watched, her eyes showing an emotion that had been almost forgotten to her. Curiosity. She'd forgotten what it was like to not be grieving, revenge-driven, or some combination of both. It was like she had been completely emptied out, her other emotions making room for the only two that she thought she needed. No. She didn't have time to study golems. She had dragons and murderers to catch. Now... how was she going to phrase her questions that she wouldn't sound crazy when she spoke.

Hunter smiled and kept close to Arryn when she locked arms with him. He felt a sudden fuzziness in his stomach and chest as he was close to Arryn and watched her face lighting up with joy. "I'd have an unfair advantage if we did, I'd always be able to find you!" He said in response to Arryn's request to play hide and seek. "It would be fun though." He added looking ahead a the very large hallway that they stood in. It seemed as if the tower was much bigger on the inside, when in fact it really was. The tower was enchanted with powerful void magic to expand the inside of the building to several times its already enormous size.

"Awww." Arryn said, a frown on her lips as she looked at Hunter. That was kind of scary, though. What would happen if she was angry with him one day and wanted to hide? "It's pretty in here." She told him, a yawn crossing her lips. "I wonder what it's like to know magic?"

Mika was fascinated by the building and the robes. Nothing like her home! Nothing at all! It was wonderfully new and exciting and fresh and cool and, and... Well, she was really happy. She overheard the dragon-boy and that one girl with the griffon talking about hide and seek. That sounded fun, here! But she straightened herself out and walked up to Cairo. "So where are we going? Who're we talking to around these parts?" In Balefall, one would go to a staffer and they'd point you in the right direction. If it was dire, though, one would seek out the head mage, or the Magistrate of the College.

"Maybe I can teach you something sometime!" Hunter exclaimed with excitement. "In return maybe you can teach me some things." Hunter offered up the exchange but he didn't really know what she could teach him that he didn't know or that he wanted to learn. Mostly everything he knew presently was purely instinctual.
Cairo overheard Arryn and Hunter's conversation and decided to answer Arryn's question. "Magic is all around you. It formed this world has left an imprint. This is creation magic, it cannot be controlled like normal magic. When a mage casts a spell they are drawing in this magic from the world immediately surrounding their body. It is nearly infinite and so the more magic a person can absorb the more powerful the spell." He explained. He held out his hand and an orb of light slowly appeared and shined brightly, several times brighter than a torch. "When the magic is absorbed a mage will fuse it with energy within their own body called Mana, everyone has mana, but only those who can use magic know and understand how to control it. Mana and Magic both attract each other, like flies to honey, so once it's in your body the magic will be drawn to wherever you concentrate your mana. Then to cast your spell you will fuse the mana and magic together, when this happens you also begin to convert the magic into a form of energy you wish to use it for. In this instance," he indicated the ball of light in his hands, "I am using my mana to convert the magic I have absorbed, and am continually absorbing, into light. You cannot touch magic or mana, nor see it, smell it, taste it or hear it." He explained. "But you can feel it. When trained to concentrate and pool your mana within your body you will begin to feel pools of magic form outside of your body around where you are focusing your mana. Only when you can feel the magic around you will you be able to absorb it into your body. Your natural life forces want to push it away from your body but your mana wants to draw it in. You need to learn to control those constantly opposing forces in order to offset the balance and allow yourself to use magic. But never absorb more magic than what can be fused with your mana, this will cause absolute mana drains and can kill you, which is why magic is also so dangerous." He finished, the orb or light in his hand faded and he put his hand down. "With no offense to your partner, perhaps it would be best if I helped you to learn magic, only because he is not consciously aware of how he controls his magic, it may be harder to learn." Cairo smiled before turning to Mika. "We will go where you always go to find answers that are not known to you. The library!" He said before walking to another large door which lead to a large winding staircase which spiraled downwards into the depths of the college. "Stay close!" He called to everyone. "Although this is a safe place to learn magic, to the uninitiated this place can be quite dangerous, and potentially deadly." He said on a slightly more grim note.

Arryn listened to the man, a frown on her face. Her brows furrowed a bit as she followed the man downstairs. "On the other hand, I don't think I want to learn magic anymore. It sounds too complicated and I could die!" she whispered to her dragon partner. The blond haired woman was a bit excited, however. She wondered what kind of books were in the library. Probably on the history of the College and different types of magic. "I can't wait to see if there's any books on interesting things!" she clung closer to Hunter and grinning broadly. She bounced up and down and giggled a bit. "How about you, Hunter?"

Mika followed close to Cairo to the library. She'd figured they'd be alerting the college to the exact nature of the attack but it was likely they already knew. She strode behind the angel and said, "Cairo. I have a small favor to ask." She began. "I attended the college in Sandris, but, I flunked out. I can use magic. And I don't really feel tired after I do, except, well, I can't always use magic. It comes and goes and I can't really control when it does. You seem to be a good mage. If you find out anything, or if you know anything about something like this, let me know?" She obviously could summon great powers, since she'd created Rusty in one particular explosion of magic with no meditation. Too bad it wasn't at will. "I don't mean to trouble you, we should keep looking into the dragon. I was just curious."

((EB they haven't actually given Hunter a name yet XD))
"Not at all, Mika." Cairo smiled. "Now these issues with magic, it happens at random, those times you can use magic right?" He asked, almost rhetorically as he moved on to the next question quickly. "Do you notice that your spells are more powerful the longer you go without using magic?" He asked almost like a psychologist for magic. Just from her short description of the problem he felt like he knew the problems she was having, but it wasn't an easy thing to diagnose, nor would it be easy to fix once the problem is found. He merely kept walking down the large stone steps, getting deeper and deeper in to the college.
((I love how no one questions how an Angel who used to know nothing of the world like a week ago now seems to know everything XD))
Hunter blushed a little when Arryn clung to him more closely, his heart jumped a bit and he felt weird in his gut but it wasn't a bad feeling. He smiled and thought. "I don't know how to read." He said with no care in the world. His shortcomings never seemed to bother him no matter how much they affected him. His loss of memory was a major inconvenience but he didn't show any care in the world even though he knew he wasn't the person he used to be.

((No one but Kai really knows he didn't know anything...))
"Yeah. If they come spaced they come big. There's only been a few times they've come small. Sometimes I can lift an apple with some effort... Sometimes I accidentally make Golems." Mika said as she grinned. They strode further into the college and eventually into the library. "Lately, that's relative I guess, in the last few years, if I really concentrate, I can force it. I can force something little." The pillars of books and masses of shelves were interesting but she was wandering towards 'D', for dragon. Records in Sandris were normally just accounts of attacks and they were closely found with Golem manuscripts and books on the topic. Nothing with much actual information on the reptiles. But this was Woodland Elf country, so maybe they had something else.

((Oh, btw Duss, the Library is fucking enormous, take the size of the college (void magic and all) and put a couple of those in the library. It's meant to be legendary for being the world's biggest repository of knowledge and supposedly contains records of all of history, every book ever written any scroll ever scrawled any magical tome researched is all within that library either original copy or some recreation thereof))
Cairo pondered on the topic. He ran a hand through his golden hair before dropping it back to his side. "Well it sounds like you have no true control over your magic. To me it seems as if you never really learned, properly, how to control your mana and fuse it with magic you absorb through your body." He explained. "As I said to Arryn before, using magic is really just creating an off-set in your mana concentration so your body can absorb the magic and not have it be pushed away from your body by your natural life force." He reiterated his lecture from before, in case Mika missed what he was explaining. "I think your body, instead of naturally balancing the concentration of your mana, pools it into you hands and arms, allowing you to absorb magic, as pools of mana will off-set the balance I explained. When mana runs low in other areas of your body, because it is pooling elsewhere, more mana will be created and will eventually be pooled into your hands and arms again. This allows you to absorb more and more magic without realizing it. So magic and mana seem to constantly exist within your own body, and you obviously have the ability to fuse it and convert it into energy for use in spells, but without being able to control mana flow and concentration nor magic absorption, your spell casting is sporadic both in power and time intervals." He concluded. "In order for you to control your magic you will need to learn to control your mana flow evenly and concentrate it when you want to cast a spell." Cairo finished. He scoured the bookshelves finding anything relevant to Nemira and dragons.
