Arryn felt anger in her, fear. But she knew she couldn't stay here. The blond haired woman rushed away, screaming. "Cairo!" She called.

Mika had been wandering the library in search of books to aid them in their search with Cairo. She'd found one she thought might be helpful when Arryn came crying for the angel. She shut her book, threw it back on the shelf and slid down the ladder she'd been atop. "What is it!?" She called as she ran over, bare feet slapping the stone with every stride. "What's going on?"

Ruso smiled as Arryn left, another one filled with madness. "Looks like you either get to be beaten back into whatever you came from, or are going to die. She's calling for an angel. You know, those big feather headed warriors? I'll hold him back if you decide to put that poor dragon welp back where you found him and in the same condition. Then again, you haven't given me any incentive to anyway." Ruso turned to face the door, as if she were leaving. "Better strike a deal before he gets here. I reckon you have about three minutes before they all come tumbling in here. Better hurry... tick... tock..." With each tick or tock, she'd take a step, slowly moving closer to the door. She'd meant what she said, but if he wasn't going to make a deal, then it would be bad to be Insanity.

The demon laughed a hearty but sinister laugh. He inhaled deeply and as he exhaled the barrier holding him within the center of the room faded. His eyes flickered back and forth looking around the circle. A sly smile across his facial features. He looked up at Ruso with a sneer and slowly stepped down from the slightly raised stone, not being prevented from doing so. This was no trick, the barrier truly had been broken. He walked along the outside of the room, letting his hands touch the black stone of the pillars that stood there. "You think to threaten me with a creature with limited power in this world. Let me tell you a little about the angels, the Mithrandir!" The demon spoke directly to Ruso's mind, mouth unmoving, eyes otherwise preoccupied. But the sound boomed loudly like it filled the room, still surrounded by many other voices. It seemed less playful, less amused, like it was only now getting serious. The Mithrandir come from another realm, they originate from outside the laws and energy of this world. This realm from whence they came supplies unlimited energy to them, this energy is their life, cut it off from them and they cease to exist. This is how the demons from the same realm were able to destroy the angels. They learned to cut this energy off from the Mithrandir. But these demons, they did not live from the same energy. The Mithrandir were powerless to resist. These demons in the translated tongue, Lesser Ainur. Beings of thought alone, taking shape as they please, the lesser Ainur were on par with the power of the Mithrandir, another form of lesser Ainur. But you see, I am not your average demon. I am of those beings of thought. But do not compare me to those weaker demons, the pathetic and petty thoughts which brought them into being cannot even comprehend the power held within my grasp, you see I am not lesser. I am a greater Ainur, I wield a power far beyond that which the Mithrandir could control. They would run in terror as the Ainur would destroy every being of their consciousness." The voice paused and the Ainur turned to Ruso. "So your petty threats mean nothing to me, you are a mortal, you have no comprehension of what I am or the power I posses. You can feign your arrogance, your bravery and banter your 'knowledge' all you want, but I see through everything you are, I see everything you were and everything you will be. So flee if you wish, or be silent, because the only thing that is keeping me from annihilating your being and consciousness is that you have so far kept me amused with your attempts to threaten me and your petty thoughts of overpowering me."

Cairo perked when he heard Arry, the look in her eyes and the strain of her voice was all he needed to know that something was amiss. He suddenly felt heavy, a long brooding fear that had been hiding in his heart since he first came to this world had finally surfaced. He didn't even need her to explain, he knew what was happening. He knew he could not help but he had befriended them, and he seemed to be someone they placed their trust in. He had to do something, this world would perish otherwise. He ran swiftly past Arryn, not bothering to utter a word to her. He moved quickly from the direction she came, he could follow this fear, he would find his way.
((Ok, I'm going to start pulling from LOTR here, just a bit though, it gives me a good foundation for lore. I'm especially going to use names, because I don't care to come up with my own and I'm not going to use them properly...))

Ruso could feel the shield break behind her. As he spoke, her impending sense of dread grew. She was losing control of her emotions, the fear was spreading like a plague. Cairo would die if he fought this... Greater Aniur. She'd be responsible. Her hands shook, twitching in fear and insanity. She bit her lip. I don't have a choice, it's not like anyone will mind my loss. Her hand stopped shaking and instead curled into a fist. First things first, she had to find Cairo before he started to fight this thing. It sounded like it was powerful and old. She'd need to re-restrain it. Maybe there was a way to remove the thing. She had to be brave enough to run away, and that was tricky enough. "Sorry, I think we've talked long enough. Better run away before you decide to annihilate me. We'll meet again, I suppose. Hopefully in a couple minutes." Her slight smile, another mask for the fear, was the last thing she did before running out of the room, looking for Cairo. "Cairo! Cairo!" She couldn't be responsible for another death. She couldn't take it.

Arryn ran after Cairo and rushed into that room again. She saw that the demon had escaped and that it was harassing Ruso. No! It couldn't take another person. She growled, pulling out her sword and beginning to rush toward that vile... thing. Yet, would she be able to slice into that face of Hunter's? She didn't even have good practice sessions in swordplay! She continued to rush forward, screaming a battle cry as the blade was held out in front of her. "Die, you... thing!" she cried, slashing at the spirit. Of course, she didn't know what she was dealing with here. She just wanted that thing out of Hunter.

The shade simply ignored her, letting her slash at him with a fruitless effort. Each swing simply passed through him as the parts she should have cut into turned into a mist of shadow, flowing with the wind created by her sword's cut, before it reformed back as a part of his body. The creature simply smiled and turned, extending his hand towards Arryn. Cairo stepped in at this point and deflected whatever dark magic the shade was about to cast upon the girl. In a flash of light the shade had recoiled a little, and his amused smile turned to an annoyed grimace. "You shouldn't even be able to contest those spells." He spoke to Cairo's mind. Cairo remained on guard, staring at the shade which possessed Hunter. "The Angels haven't been growing weaker all this time. While you've been trapped within that seal since the beginning we have been growing in number and power. Enough so that we could finally contest with your kind." He spoke. "You are strong. But you just woke up, you won't be able to contest with me at your current stage of awakening. You're centuries too early!" He said approaching the shade without fear. He began chanting in an inaudible language. His mouth moved and sound came out, but to anyone but the shade and Cairo it seemed oddly quiet. Not as if someone was merely moving their lips, but as if something prevented them from hearing it at all, but that the sound was still being heard. The shade looked angry and attacked Cairo but a barrier was raised which contained the shade once more. As Cairo spoke the shade smirked and approached the edge of the barrier and spoke to everyone. "You haven't seen the last of me. You lose this time Mithrandir!" It spoke before laughing. It began to dissolve out of Hunter like a misty smoke that slowly returned Hunter's features to normal. It collected in a mass behind the dragon before fading into the air, the laughter stopped and there was silence once more. "He got away!" Cairo exclaimed quietly, dropping his arms to the side. He looked down to Hunter, who had collapsed to the ground. He wasn't breathing, nor was his heart beating.
((Alright, well this tiny arc was fun, but for the sake of interest I'm going to move it along. This will become a long running plot that spreads out over the numerous chapters... Let's hope it lasts that long, given how long it's been since ANYONE posted I feel it may be losing interest already T-T))

Ruso let out her breath when the shade vanished, taking the images with it. Ruso was calm for a moment, until she saw it again. Red eyes were watching her and judging her for her actions. Ruso didn't even realize that she was softly giggling as she fell to her knees and landed facedown on the ground. IT had taken so much from her to just remain calm and collected, that her body finally hit its limit and the adrenaline faded away. Ruso blacked out, letting herself pass into oblivion for the time being. At least there the eyes couldn't follow her. The eyes of her previous master and friend, Whietiayth. "I'm sorry..."
((I was waiting on you, goof.))
