Unless they make the robes. What I was thinking was that the assassins could be extinct and then someone brings about reviving the Brotherhood, and someone who's creative and good with mixing things together would make the robes.
The recon design looks cool, but a bit too bulky for assassins, don't ya think?

I still dislike the structured nature of having set uniforms. Especially in its weakened state, the Creed would have no reason to enforce the policy. I mean, people could certainly do that, but certain characters I'm sure would rebel, including mine.
Not to mention expensive to make. I'm sure ONE of those could be stolen for a special assassin, but having all of them wear those would be a bit much in the beginning. Perhaps when they begin to work more closely with Abstergo they could be provided those apparatuses, but the assassins in the beginning would have no economic way to standardize that. Again, maybe later, but it's not possible in the beginning.

Alright then. What do you think about the Creed being dead and all at the beginning?

Mou-chan what if the Creed was more like the Thieves Guild from Skyrim? And they would often run missions to go steal riches from the wealthy above. Like nothing like breaking into vaults, at least not all the time, but changing business ledgers just a little so that some revenue goes to the creed?

Erm... Well Duss and I said that it would kinda do that, but before the beginning of the RP. It would make zero sense to have it start at the beginning of the RP because then why would Abstergo turn to them for help and stuff? It doesn't make sense unless they're already established.
They'd stick out like sore thumbs above. We DID discuss the assassins stealing people's identities because the currency would be all credits and the slaves/undocumented people that would populate most of the slums wouldn't have credits, so that would be a thing. So...is that kind of like what you're talking about?

Well the Thieves guild manages to steal and launder money without anyone really noticing. They make the guild more prominent in the game to make it easier for the character to think "Well I want to join the thieves guild. Where do I go? Oh I'll ask sir random beggar! Oh they're under the city because everyone knows about them and can tell me if asked." It's unrealistic in that sense, Lore wise it was a very secretive organization, people knew about it and knew that they were thieves, but they didn't know how they operated or the inner workings of their operations unless you were one of the connections, but even then you only knew about your specific connections with them. You would also know partially if you were being directly extorted. So I'm pretty much saying they wouldn't be run-of-the-mill highwaymen just outwardly stealing things, they siphon off small amounts of money from numerous companies and connections which would bring them decent revenue. And maybe recently they would have been on a downward trend with a lot of recent bad ops, maybe never directly getting them caught but like forged business ledgers were noticed and remade so the money transfer never happened. If we go with this I can actually come up with a way that this would all work with the credits (I know you did this XD Dussie) where it could go through a fence or something (one of their connections) who would transfer any of that siphoned money into a fake bank account that is connected with real banks to kind of fake the money they have, even though they don't have IDs so now accounts to their ID. And then maybe they could steal the IDs as a means to connect to that fake account without suspicion, like they steal them and reprogram them to direct them to that account, no questions asked.

I feel like that would be a much more interesting plot if it started up during the RP itself because it could stir up some controversy and trouble and lead to a richer final interaction with Abstergo. But definitely it would be more fun if it occurred during the RP itself rather than before.
